An announcement: after 2 years in MACAU, I bought tickets this week to go back to the Motherland for a few weeks this summer! (Stay tuned for more info.) Thus, I have been inspired to write the following "just-for-fun" to do list (How I will do all these things... I have no idea, but it will be fun to try!):
- listen to hip hop music with Laurie Cook
-go to Coldstone with Jacky and Esther and Anna (and of course, see Anna's new apt.)
-participate in great worship at encounter!
-play with Becky Z's boys.. and all the new babies at least once
-run through 5 sprinklers (at least...preferably with fresh-cut grass nearby)
-play soccer with my brothers
-sleep out under the starts 1 night
-play hide-n-seek at night
-stay up late to watch the BBC news and chat about life and everything with Grandma Moul
-make a cherry pie with Oceana County cherries
-go to a Ravinia Fest concert
-have a Purdy girls outing (maybe an abbreviated one this time)
-go running with my brothers...or maybe more accurately- behind my brothers
-have a picnic in Millenium Park with Barbara B. and Katie
-eat authentic Mexican food with Angel and Graciela
-take a short road trip with my sister and Sara's fam
And all of this thinking about things to do there... made me think of things I want to do when I come back home (here...to China)-
-take Jan to Guilin (next year is the deadline- she's retiring~)
-milk tea hideout with Hazel
-take a ride on a real fisherman's boat in Macau or Hong Kong
-try diving
-maybe?? the Skywalk at the Tower
-see the world's tallest mountain, who's Tibetan name I always forget
-sleep in a yurt in Inner Mongolia
-go with Erin on a desert trip in the NW and sleep under the stars (hmm...this seems to be a theme)
-start a teacher's Bible study
-use my ticket to Fujian...and maybe finally pick strawberries there
-see an old Nestorian church
-visit the island school in Hong Kong for troubled youth
-travel part of the Silk Road
-visit Jiu Zai Gou?? park
-visit Li Jiang
Maybe that's enough for now...but really- I'm SO lucky to live in two big countries and be able to see so much of God's creation- to enjoy so much! For as long as He gives me life, wherever I am, I want to treasure and enjoy it!
Can't wait to share the experiences with all of you! Looking forward to lots of reunions everywhere.
